Established in the 1980's and run by it's current directors since 2006, today Walton Development and Construction is a thriving and successful construction company headed by Dave Freshwater and Simon Richards. Our Commercial, Residential & Industrial Construction Services Our in-house team of construction professionals can guide you through any construction project. Our services include commercial design and build, refurbishment, mechanical and electrical and groundworks for both commercial and residential customers. Commercial Design & Build We have an in-house design and build team dedicated to ensuring you get the building you need. We specialise in creative solutions on new and existing sites, with an attention to detail that surpasses our competitors. We work hand in hand with our clients to ensure the finished project exceeds expectations, on budget and on time. We undertake a variety of work, from basic construction projects such as unheated storage facilities, all the way up to state of the art medical facilities. Although we work mainly in the South west, we have carried out successful contracts further afield such as Braintree in Essex, Lutterworth in Rugby and a Brickworks in Cardiff. Mechanical & Electrical We boast a long established and professional electrical and mechanical division, with the necessary industry accreditations to be able to complete and certify your works. Whether it is a small extension or a 50,000 sq/m industrial unit, we are highly experienced in electrical and mechanical design and installation. We are NICEIC approved with full testing and inspecting capabilities. We can also PAT test on request. We have successfully completed many mechanical and electrical contracts with customers such as Bombardier Rail, Hitachi Europe Ltd and Rotamic Engineering, including completing electrical installations used by the well-known national company the Co-op. In the past we have worked on contracts as far reaching as South Africa. We frequently work for major housing developers such as Redrow Homes, Westbury Homes and continue to maintain strong connections with these customers. We have previously been relied upon by new customers to bring their projects to completion. For example, we undertook the completion of a project for Stagecoach Exeter for their new headquarters and state-of-the-art bus station, which included a new depot, maintenance space and offices. Groundworks Our dedicated groundworks team are experts in foundation works, installation of services and specialist concreting works. We offer a design and installation service for structural concreting, ensuring that your equipment has a secure footing. We also offer a domestic service including driveways, pavements and domestic service installation. At Walton, we have previously worked for clients such as Co-op logistics South West, where we designed and constructed a purpose built lorry park including a lorry wash, with state-of-the-art security systems. We have also built many of Bandvulc’s distribution centres in Plymouth, where we have poured a vast amount of concrete for their storage yards. Refurbishment The Refurbishment design team can reconfigure your existing industrial, commercial or domestic spaces to maximise the use of your existing space. We can also design and build small or large extensions to both domestic and business premises. We pride ourselves on being on budget, and on time for every project; the price of the work that we negotiate upfront is the price you will pay, and we don't have any hidden costs or surprise extras. We have successfully completed scores of refurbishment projects for our customers. We have worked with Tyre Maintenance (owned by Bandvulc) in the past, where we refurbished the existing offices and external yard areas for the new depot in Lutterworth. We also provided new offices, a meeting room, and the main distribution centre which included a vehicle maintenance area. Another noteworthy refurbishment project of Walton's is the creation of a temperature and humidity controlled Balise area, which included the addition of a state robot system, for Bombardier's railway signalling.
